Popcorn


 Popcorn is the best food I ever put in my mouth!

Oh how creamy, buttery and crunchy it is!
Today I ate popcorn. When I was heating it up, I could hear the delicious pops of the kernels popping.  Before I ate the popcorn, I took a long smell of the delicious and so wonderful popcorn. I took the popcorn, poured it into my bowl and prepared to devour it. I grabbed a handful of popcorn and shoved it in my mouth! And then do you know what I said? I said, "Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....."

I believe that year round schools can have a benefit on students and it should happen in Michigan. 

YRS (Year Round Schools) have been present from the 1800s. YRS first appeared in urban areas, because they were not tied to the agriculture cycle. Businesses also find it easier to provide jobs on a year round basis instead of having many in the summer for students. Students who attend year-round school say that their calenders are more balanced than their peers who have a typical school calendar. YRS students typically do as well as or slightly better in school than their peers who attend a traditionally scheduled school. There is research that suggests year-round schools have positive effects on students who are at risk for academic problems, including those from underprivileged backgrounds and those who are poor performers in school. Year-round schools do not add more school days to the 180 standard academic calendar. The total number of school days and vacation days remains unchanged, but instead is redistributed throughout the year. Year round schools are also a good idea because you never have to stop working on a project in that grade!  Many of my friends argue that they get bored during summer vacations, when there is much less activity and stimulation, so attending school for a year would be a benefit to them. And last of all based on a 2013 research study by the California Department of Education, students in traditional schools had a drop out rate of 5% versus 2% for YRS.

My Bros

My brothers or as I call them my bros,

are awesome in different ways. First is Drew my oldest brother is awesome because he plays the ps3 and sports with me. Also drew makes me laugh, although my youngest brother Weston is by far the funniest with jokes that make my funny bone hurt and I fall out of my chair! I also enjoy spending time with my family. But my brothers will always be my Bros!

My shoes


I have a lot of shoes.

I have light green Nike Hyperdunks, Nike KD's and many more shoes!

The shoes I really want are Nike LeBron 11's in the color gamma blue. They are very cool. Also, I want these really cool low black Hyperdunks if I don't get the LeBron 11's! These shoes are both for basketball, however, I would love to wear them to school!

Basketball


I love basketball because all five players come together and try to win.

It is a great team sport that envolves a lot of team work.

You can play all different kinds of games with a basketball and a hoop.

Some of the games you can play are lightning, a regular basketball game and PIG. My favorite is PIG.

PIG is where one person shoots first and the other person tries to make that exact shot. If the first person misses, the second person gets to try a new shot. You can get out by missing all three of the other person's exact shots. Each time you miss the other persons exact shot you get a letter. First P, then I and finally G.

PIG Is just one of the many reasons I love basketball 🏀🏀😄😄😃😃❤️❤️🐷
